Chewing is a form of exploration for many children, including young babies. However it can also be an effective calming mechanism for many children, some of whom may also be on the autism spectrum. We work closely with Occupational Therapists to develop safe, non-toxic oral input devices that can be safely chewed to calm the nervous system and enable these children to independently self-regulate their emotions.
